Your Villa Holiday Packing and Preparation List

A villa holiday can offer more space and freedom than a hotel stay, but the facilities and supplies may differ. Preparing your packing and shopping lists for a self-catering villa helps the holiday run smoothly from beginning to end. Every property can offer different amenities, so check the villa's features before booking.
Check the Villa's Facilities Before You Travel
Here are answers to questions we are often asked.
Are towels and bed linen provided? Yes. Towels and bed linen are available at the villa on arrival, as they would be at a hotel.
Is there a hairdryer? Yes. Each villa has at least one hairdryer.
Are there washing machines and dishwashers? Think of the villa as a furnished home with a private pool. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms contain the basic equipment needed for a stay. Check the individual property's facilities for the precise appliance list.
Is there a barbecue area? Yes, villas have a barbecue. Shared meals are often among the happiest memories of a villa holiday. Bring or purchase charcoal, firelighters and a grill rack for your own use, and enjoy a barbecue when it suits you.
Are everyday food supplies included? A villa stay differs from an all-inclusive hotel: food and drinks are your responsibility. You can order meals, explore nearby restaurants or shop at supermarkets, greengrocers and butchers if you would like to cook as you do at home.
Personal Belongings and Everyday Essentials
Pack daily clothing, pyjamas, slippers, toiletries, regularly used medicines, phone chargers and a power bank, along with other personal essentials.
Bring swimwear, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, pool sandals and a beach towel. Pool and beach towels may not be supplied in every villa, although many of our properties provide poolside towels. Our owner-rental villa options include towels for poolside use; we recommend bringing your own towel for the sea or beach. Check your booked villa's facilities for a definite answer.
Supplies such as toilet paper, rubbish bags, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets and paper towels may be limited or not provided. Preparing a small shopping list of essentials helps you settle in more comfortably.
What you need to bring depends on your holiday habits and the facilities at your chosen property. Read the villa's details on the Kaska Villa website and ask our team about anything you would like clarified.
